At the end of a long tasting table of the Loft wine bar, just a couple of blocks from our iconic Adelaide tile store, is a striking ten foot tall bookcase feature wall, but look a little more closely and you'll discover that the shelves covered with encyclopaedias and other big old tomes are actually porcelain tiles.
It's a clever choice of tile for the space. The look of dusty old books in warm colours makes the room warm and inviting, while the height of the feature - stretching up to an incredible black vaulted ceiling - is grand enough for even the biggest room.
Of the Library book-look tiles, our Strategic Designer says "our Library tiles offer a complete look that speaks of times gone by," adding that they are "so realistic you can almost smell the familiar scent of musty books in the air."
In our high-tech world where more and more people are reading on iPads and Kindles and collections of books are shrinking, the Library tiles are the perfect way to get that classic look.
