Laundry Tiles - FAQ’s
What tiles are best for laundry?
- As your laundry deals with a lot of family foot traffic, the best tiles will be durable and scratch-proof, as well as resistant to water and chemicals. Ceramic tiles are one of the best choices for laundry flooring as they meet these criteria while offering a variety of finishes to suit your home décor. Porcelain tiles are also a great wear-resistant option. Opt for light, neutral tile tones to create a clean, contemporary feel for your laundry space.
Do you tile laundry walls?
- The laundry is a hive of activity in any home. Sinks splash, machines leak, and detergents spill, often leaving marks along the way. As such, ceramic and porcelain tiles are classic choice of wall tiles. By tiling the walls in your laundry, you are providing an extra layer of protection in the form of a water- and stain-resistant barrier that also gives you a practical but also luxurious look.
Do you need a backsplash in a laundry?
- Yes, a backsplash is absolutely essential for spaces that deal with water. Tile backsplashes are easy to clean and help to protect laundry walls and floors from water damage as well as potential messes. Functional and stylish, tile backsplashes can be great additions to any laundry space – particularly those prone to a build-up of moisture. Depending on your tastes, choose tones and colours that make you smile, there are no rules to say a workspace needs to be dull and uninspiring.
