Removing laundry tiles can be a simple DIY job when you know the basic steps involved.
Safety comes first, you will need to turn off the water and the electricity to avoid potential accidents. Then make sure you have a dust mask, safety glasses, gloves and ear muffs.
Now to get on the tools. You can use a pry bar, a bolster and a mash hammer to remove the tiles on the floor or walls. Start in the top corner of the first row of tiles before working your way down and across. You will need to maintain sure footing as you work and clear away any debris as you go.
If you live in an older house and encounter traces of asbestos behind your tiles, stop work immediately and contact your local authorities for advice.
