Your flooring is quite often the untapped canvas of your home. Your floor tiles selection needs to either be the foundation of your room or could be the dramatic feature you’ve always wanted. There are floor tiles for all sorts of spaces and applications in your home. Some are tiny, huge, patterned, bold colours, or structured. But the best of all is our natural emulations of stone, timber or concrete. Let your jaw drop to the floor when you see our 1m x 3m humongous stone look slab tiles.
Beaumonts sells the highest quality floor tiles, which is why all first-grade Beaumont Tiles have a lifetime quality guarantee! There’s not much you need to do to maintain most tiles. When you’ve chosen the perfect floor tiles for your space it looks absolutely stunning for years to come. If tiles aren't your thing check out our other flooring options and choices such as hybrid flooring.
Did you have your heart set on hard flooring, but decided the up-keep would be too time-consuming and costly? It would be worth a look at our timber look tiles, they have all the beauty of timber, but with the practicality of a glazed tile.
The same could be said for concrete floors, polished concrete does have a certain amount of upkeep that tiles don’t. Beaumonts has concrete floor tile styles with loads of character, as well as minimalistic concrete look tiles.
The most beautiful and impacting of all is our stone and marble emulated tiles. Some marbles are rare or outrageously expensive, but with practical emulation tiles you can have your cake and eat it too; practical, low maintenance, with good prices.
Beaumont customers often give us 5-star reviews, if you take a read it shows that we really care about helping you get the best results for your space. It doesn’t hurt that our team LOVE to talk about tile and bathroomware ideas!
As much as we love to see you in-store, shopping with Beaumonts and buying floor tiling online will still be a great experience, we have the latest information to share with you that is updated regularly. We have a main floors inspiration gallery, to show off all the floor tiles we possibly can.
The most helpful service we have is that we have a full-sized floor tile sample service to send the tiles you’re considering straight to your door so you can see them in the room you’re renovating. How easy is that!
It can be very daunting researching floor tiles and seeing all the different types, colours, sizes and designs. Which floor tiles are best? A good place to start is where you are going to be installing them. This means you can get an idea of what practical benefits you need for your space before you start choosing colour and design. Do your tiles need to stand up to lots of foot traffic, little kids or perhaps a dog or two? Will there be any water on the floor? Is it an entrance area where dirt might get trampled in? Or will it only see your socks or bare feet? We would love to see you in-store and talk through your particular needs for your space and show you the range of floor tiles that will suit you the best. For more information read our guide on selecting the right tiles.
You will need to measure out your floor or go get a copy of your building plans. Measure the length and width of the space you want to lay floor tiles. Then multiply them to get a square metre total. Beaumont’s makes it easy by selling floor tiles by square metres. But please don’t forget to add 10% to your tile order, this is for any cuts that need to be done, and keep a few to store away as spares, just in case there is any unforeseeable damage to your floor in the future.
Floor tiles can absolutely be used on the walls! In fact, we encourage it! One of our best tips and tricks is to use the same large format tile that is on the floor, and also on the wall to get a superb seamless look. Then deck out your bathroom with a feature vanity, mirror, and double shower! Please make sure you absolutely do not use a wall tile on the floor, the glaze and body are not strong or hardy enough to handle foot traffic.
Do you need to grout floor tiles? Yes, without a doubt, it plays both a functional and decorative role in any floor tile installation. How long after tiling can you grout? You always need to allow the adhesive to dry fully before grouting floor tiles. For more information, check out our guide on how to tile a floor.
This is a common problem that comes up in both bathrooms and main floors. Tiles can pop up, buckle or lift in a tent shape. As your home ages, the foundation can move, expand or shift. Tiles are going to move and shift with the foundations of the house, and this can cause enough pressure for the tiles to pop up. Making sure that your tiles have room for expansion and movement when installing is the best way to avoid this. A quality tiler will always do this, but it can’t hurt to discuss it with them before your project starts. If you have this problem now, we suggest contacting a quality tiler to inspect your floor and give you options to fix it.
