Residing in the Perth suburb of Caversham, Kyle and Leslie epitomise determination as they continue to chase their dreams of owning the perfect home, channelling their passion into transforming their current house with their own hands. Kyle, a dedicated firefighter with a penchant for sports, brings his methodical approach to challenges, while Leslie, an engaging educational assistant originally from Zimbabwe, infuses warmth and sociability into their journey. As Leslie puts it, "We can't wait to get started," and their journey is one that's bound to captivate and inspire.

WEEK 2:
STUDIO BATHROOM
Their layout and overall impact instantly caught the judges' attention. In the duel of curves, the double waves crafted by Kyle and Leslie have them absolutely smitten. Consensus reigns as they all declare it the hero of the space.
The duo's thoughts this week...Kyle chimes in, sharing, "I'm most proud of the details," while Leslie excitedly points out, "I think the ceiling and the tiles. I love them, they are beautiful. The more time you spend in there you sort of go, like, 'Oh, my God, and look at that.'"

WEEK 4:
BATHROOM / POWDER ROOM
Shaynna and Darren enter the room, leaving Marty outside due to its limited space, which cannot accommodate all three judges on The Block. However, the judges don't express concern about the room's size; they believe that its other aspects have been well thought out. Marty is particularly convinced that this room will convey a sense of luxury to potential buyers, emphasizing its high-end quality.
In line with the design theme established in the previous weeks featuring the studio bathroom and bedroom, the entire room presented this week prominently incorporates curved edges.

WEEK 7:
KITCHEN & LAUNDRY
House 1 kicks off with a $33,740 investment in their stylish, curved kitchen, hoping for positive feedback. The judges praise the kitchen's curves and skylights, noting a retro vibe. While impressed with storage and layout, they question the necessity of a butler's pantry and the lack of a backyard door, citing a floorplan challenge. Nevertheless, House 1's laundry and Leslie's styling received commendations from the judges.

BACKYARD, POOL & SPA

In a final, desperate attempt to improve their scores and unlock the chance to use their gnome for additional cash, they've invested every available penny into their backyard and pool, totalling $41,800. With immense belief in their space, they anxiously await positive feedback.
