About The Stylists
Design duo Alisa & Lysandra first came to the attention of the Australian public through their appearance and win on The Block. Following that success they founded Alisa & Lysandra Interiors, working on bespoke residential and commercial projects. In 2018 they produced their first online series, The Design Duo, based on their renovation of a stunning home in Albert Park, Melbourne.
The twins have a unique design flair that’s lux and minimalistic, masculine yet soft and contemporary yet understated. The design twins became known for their appreciation of impeccable quality products and we love that they trust Beaumonts to deliver on quality and bring their visions to life.

Traditional Style Checklist
Design queens Alisa & Lysandra are big fans of this look. The traditional style is always warm and welcoming, Traditional style is timeless and is inspired by high trends from the past, reminiscent of a five-star European hotel. It feels familiar and elegant and holds no surprises. It’s spacious, symmetrical and totally liveable.
Colour
- Tasteful neutrals give a traditional style interior a weathered patina to stand the test of time. Inject some zing with light grey or unsaturated greens and mix, match and layer your designer furnishings.
Bathrooms
- Tile choices are broad but our designers love classic, subway, hexagonal and penny rounds. The trick is to select tiles in similar hues to create depth but not too much variation in the overall design.
- Choose a tuxedo-style palette. It’s black and white hues, elegant and timeless.
- Or create a feature wall in textured tiles and frame it with understated floor tiles.
- Create a balanced space incorporating clean sharp lines with soft elements and indoor plants.
- Glam it up with gold taps or a feature claw foot bath in dramatic black and white for a bold yet traditional bathroom.

Main Floor Tile

Kitchens
- Choose a subway tile laid in a herringbone or a large, seamless splashback.
- There are so many interesting ways to lay tiles, check out some great ideas here.
- Choose a mixture of matt and natural finishes including timber and stone for your kitchen renovation.
- Choose cabinetry with finger pull, push to open or handles in polished gold.
Furniture & Finishing Touches
- Mouldings trims and railings are all typical elements in traditional styling and set the right tone for your interiors.
- Choose an upholstered sofa and add cushions with gentle curves.
- Lighting is a great way to add a design statement. Choose a large chandelier, decorated sconces and structural table lamps.
