Natalee Bowen has been in the design industry for over 20 years. Indah Island has been commissioned both Australia wide and internationally. Natalee’s work has received many industry awards and is now featured in many magazines, social media and TV programs such as Dream Homes, Ready Set Reno, Luxury Homes Revealed, Best Houses Australia, and Through the Front Gate, viewed by 40 million in America.
Natalee has a unique style that incorporates the classic style of the Hamptons with the tropical lush of the coast. Having travelled and worked around the world, America holds a special place “as the Hamptons and cape cod style of housing is so beautiful architecturally and the furnishings are divine” Says Natalee. Our design aesthetic is stylishly classic and timeless.
Natalee has also worked in the commercial sector designing, renovating and styling spaces. There is no limit to design, and Indah Island explores all avenues to create beautiful spaces.

Indah Island: Natalee's Home
Natalee and Mark’s home is well off the beaten track. Set on sprawling farmland in the Western Australian Wheatbelt, it’s a good hour-long drive from Perth and 20 minutes from the nearest country town, yet as you meander up their dusty driveway, this stately manor is impossible to miss.
Kitchen & Dining
Like true American Hampton style Natalee’s home is extraordinary in scale with a touch of homey sentiment and Farmhouse glam. Adjoining north and south wings have been built on either side of the original 1860 5th generation cottage.
In the kitchen and dining wing, soaring eight-metre-high ceilings with a wall of French doors and transom windows spread natural light throughout the space while a feature three-metre custom-made island bench takes center stage. Shaker-style cabinetry is teamed with marble and a sense of grandeur emanates from the kitchen thanks to the use of our Soho Ice Stone Herringbone mosaic on the splashback.

Ensuite
As it is her home Natalee was able to bring her personality into this project. Her love of Chinoiserie motifs is reflected in stools, vases and a pair of intricate mirrors. "It's probably more full-on than something I'd create for a client, but I just love it," she enthuses.
The ensuite is both spectacular and special with Herringbone Soho Carrara tiles providing a sophisticated foundation for the roomy area.

Bathroom 1
Farmhouse meets Hamptons with the styling of this bathroom while a Hexagon Carrara floor adds a modern twist. Mouldings and dado railings frame the walls and a handmade touch paying homage to the heritage of the cottage is added to the shower and splashback with Agrestic White.

Each room within Natalee’s home has its own personality, here the bathroom acts as a transportation to the sea. Featured inspiration from the tropics and a sophisticated Herringbone Carrara floor provide the perfect backdrop for the feature vanity and highlight gold fittings.

Style is not compromised in this simplistic yet functional butler’s pantry. Fan-shaped Carrara mosaics add a playful dimension to the white shaker style cabinets and white marble benchtop.
