Shayn & Carly had some very clear ideas about what their Queensland home transformation should achieve. Making small feel big and hiding function with form were right at the top of their list of five House Rules.
Working down their list, the couple offered more specific tips to the other teams who were renovating their home.
Shayn & Carly wanted to see aqua tones paired with oak, a combination that came to life in almost every room of the house from the kitchen, with its vertical subway tile splashback, to the main entry featuring a geometric concrete look tile, right through to the compact laundry.
The most unique rule this week was the mermaid's bathroom requested for the couple's girls. Here, Lisa and Andy did not disappoint. The South Australian team created an underwater-themed delight using blue wall and floor tiles, a fishscale tile feature wall, a back-to-wall freestanding bath and gorgeous brushed gold tapware worthy of Neptune's palace.
