It may have been an uphill battle to finish Pete & Courtney’s home transformation but, like the heartbreak hill driveway, the teams proved they were willing to rise to the challenge and deliver some amazing rooms.
Pete & Courtney asked the other teams to bring opulence and a few of the couples hit on the same idea: mosaic tiles with different shapes.
The week-winning bathroom (shown to the right) feature an incredible green mosaic wall tile that extends here to the floor, creating a seamless flow throughout the room and pairs well with the gold tapware and freestanding bath.
Note: the green fan mosaic tile is not recommended for use on floors.
At Beaumont Tiles we recommend checking the suitability of your tiles for floor use before laying on a bathroom floor.
The best thing to do is to check the wear and slip ratings for the tiles you have in mind. These ratings have been designed to make choosing tiles for floors, especially in wet areas like bathrooms, easier.
While the powder room, living room and laundry all make excellent use of shaped mosaic tiles – particularly the glossy black tumbling blocks on the fireplace – the kitchen and ensuite take completely different approaches, with strong results.
A large marble look tile extends from floor to ceiling in the ensuite (shown left, creating the perfect opulent complement to the much-loved green vanity. In the kitchen Timeless Ceppo Gris brings a polished industrial look to the splashback tiles.
