There are two main things to think about with grout; choosing the correct type for each area, and choosing the right colour. The colour is super important as it frames your carefully chosen tiles. Make sure you choose the colour that either matches your tiles, or contrasts to bring out its best.
Tile grout is a fundamental companion for our beautiful tiles. It essentially keeps dirt and fragments away from in between and under the tiles. Grout also adds some strength and rigidity to the tile installation. In addition to all the practical benefits grout gives a gorgeous refined finish.
You may not know this, but there are all sorts of grouts available for different situations. Flexible grout to allow for wall and floor movement. Epoxy grout, for hygiene, stain resistance, and ease of cleaning. A non-sanded grout for polished tiles that is dirt and water-resistant (not quite waterproof grout). And this is to name a few! Come in-store and get some advice for your specific project.
The other big decision for your grout is all about colour. Our biggest tip is to try to blend the colour of your tile with your grout…. BUT, if your tiles are all about shape or size, or the pattern the grout makes, be sure you contrast the colour to make it pop!

Not all grouts are made equal! If tilers are left with the decision in grout choices, they may choose a low-quality grout to save some money. Tiles and Grout are a team, don’t let the grout choice let down the team. You get what you pay for. Low-quality grout can: Grout colours can fade, crumble over time, and not last as long.
Always use top quality grout system to keep your tiles looking beautiful for years to come. Our hot tip is to seal your cement-based grout, this cuts down the amount of cleaning and scrubbing you will do.

Tile grout is the filler for the joints around a tile.
Hardened grout can be removed by good old vinegar, but we recommend using the KF Residue Remover.
Tile grout will take around 24 hours to dry, but we recommend waiting 48 hours especially if the weather is wet or humid.
If your tiles are all about shape, tile layout, or size, your grout should accentuate these features and use a contrasting colour. In most other cases we recommend using a grout colour that blends with your tile.
In a shower, you can go for Epoxy grout, which is amazing at keeping things hygienic, clean, and mould-resistant. Or you can use a normal flexible cement-based grout, and simply seal the grout on a yearly basis to make it much easier to clean.
