There's a lot more to Movember than just letting your top lip get a little hairy, and Beaumont Tiles' Corey James certainly understood this.
Corey, our South Australian Estimating Manager organised an entire team of men in our Marleston Head Office to forgo the razor for the month of November and raise both awareness and money for men's health issues: particularly prostate cancer and men's mental health.
Joining Corey on the team were Brenton Frahn, Lee Fantis, Frank Bria, and Steve Hawkin. Corey's wife Sarah was also involved, though admittedly she didn't grow her own moustache!
Many of the team members' lives have been touched by the very issues for which they were raising funds, and all believe in the importance of being able to openly discuss issues like depression and prostate cancer.
By growing out their moustaches (regrettably no curled or wax tips here), baking cakes, and making breakfast for the other staff; the team was able to raise well over $1000 to go towards Movember's health partners: The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative.
