WEEK 3:
MASTER ENSUITE
Darren was practically doing cartwheels when he saw it, raving about everything from the oak and the door handle to the checkerboard pattern and micro cement. Shaynna loved the muted palette and the sexy textures, and she was particularly impressed by Courtney's patchwork tiling. Marty and Shaynna agreed that buyers would be blown away by the room. However, Shaynna had a few minor quibbles, like the outside switches and vertical towel rails. And let's not forget the tiny shower screen entrance that Darren couldn't even squeeze through. Despite these small flaws, Marty compared the room to a six-star European hotel. As the judges prepared to move on to House 3, Shaynna warned the boys that they had a high bar to reach.
Marty Fox |
“This is insane, these guys understand aesthetics and practicality, people would gasp at the level of quality.”” |
Darren Palmer |
“I love this so much! It’s so current, a chequerboard pattern and micro-cement and colour stone and travertine, it’s like yes, yes, yes, yes" |
Shaynna Blaze |
“This is touch-worthy. It’s classic, it’s got a very neutral palette. Something that I haven’t seen anyone do before and I highly commend them is they’ve done two different tiles and they’ve patchworked them. It looks phenomenal!" |

WEEK 7:
MEZZANINE ENSUITE
Courtney and Grant's week on The Block has been filled with ups and downs. After winning the surfboard challenge, they faced criticism for their $27,573 striped bathroom. Marty Fox found the bathroom's design overwhelming, while Darren and Shaynna appreciated its unique style and impact. Despite some concerns about the floor plan, Darren declared House 2 as one of the most beautifully finished and luxurious homes he's ever seen on The Block, making it his favorite of the season.

Darren Palmer |
