Long Jetty Reno was one of Kyal & Kara’s biggest reno’s at the time and took inspiration from Palm Springs architecture with Kyal & Kara's signature coastal spin.

Bathroom

Feature Tile Infront Bath: Devonshire Super White Gloss
The couple decided to use Beaumonts Elmina White large slabs for the floor and walls. Kara loves how the large format tiles are easy to keep clean and provides a minimalistic, clean bathroom look. The texture was a must in this design, the Devonshire White Gloss was tiled along the wall connecting to the white wall cladding above. Kara wanted this bathroomware to be timeless and in adding this element to space they chose to have the shower accessories all in Gun Metal. This luxurious day spa feeling bathroom is the biggest bathroom the super K's have created and it looks stunning.

The laundry and powder room complement each other by having the same tiles used on the splashback and floor. This space has been kept minimalistic while having texture throughout the room.

Kara "Every time we design a bathroom we design it so the first thing you see when you walk in is the mirror and think about what is being reflected in it."
As seen again the bathroom accessories are gun metal which is consistent throughout the house. Texture has also been implemented into the shower, with Beaumonts Navona Fan mosaics it really brings the space to life!

The kitchen greets you with so much natural light, and keeping with the aesthetic of the rest of the house the gunmetal sink and tapware has been used. The textures have been broken up by using the Beaumonts Devonshire white tiles while also having white timber cabinetry. The space is kept light and minimalistic while implementing the coastal palm springs environment. This beautiful big kitchen is just stunning!

Pool
Pool Tile: Artisan Marrakesh Mist Ash 200x200 (Special Order)
Kyal and Kara absolutely love the Artisan tiles in their pool design which has a subtle Moroccan finish, it really brings the coastal aspect to this lovely outdoor space.

Continuing the Mediterranean style, Kyal and Kara designed the heart of their home with practicality and function in mind. A hidden butlers pantry keeps the large appliances and messes out of eyes sight and the huge island bench and cooker means big cook ups for family and friends.
The open plan living means Kyal and Kara can keep an eye on their kids, Vada and Ziya at all times whether they're outside or in the lounge room.

Without any external windows, Kyal and Kara chose to play on the moodiness of the room. The couple chose darker tiles to "create a different feel to the other light-filled rooms in the house." The combination of the colours and textures in the room brings a nautical feel to the room.
Mud Room
Floor Tile: Serie Grafton Tawny Satin
Kyal and Kara decided to dedicate a section of their laundry as a mud room as their laundry acts as a thoroughfare from the garage to the house and Kara believes "it will likely be the way we enter our home as a family day to day. We designed storage specific to the purpose of storing hats, bags, jackets and anything else that makes sense to store at the entry/exit of our home – plus somewhere to sit."

Kyal and Kara chose tiles for their studio flooring because they "wanted the studio space to be super hard-wearing, to install underfloor heating to heat the space in the cooler months, and it also means I can run the same floor material throughout the whole space, including the bathroom."
Kyal and Kara chose our whitewashed timber-look tiles to create a great amount of texture and interest, without being too busy for the relaxed coastal vibe they were after.

Studio Bathroom

Kara designed the studio bathroom around her love for the clay-look tiles. The bathroom features three different tile choices but Kara said " there are three different tiles within this bathroom, but everything works together so well. It’s a great example of using varying textures with similar colour tones to create a room that’s interesting and packs a punch."
