Not every room is big - think second bathroom, laundry, kitchenette, or courtyard/terrace - and styling them is often the hardest due to their small dimensions.

For many Australians, smaller sized accommodation is the abode of choice with the Housing Industry Australia reporting an 11 percent increase in units being built in Australia in the past year.

Choosing the right tile for smaller space needs particular attention because the aim is to maximise the design and give the illusion of more space. But getting it right is more than just the size of the tile – it's the colour, the way the tile is laid and the type of grout used that can make a difference.

The Block contestants were tasked with making the most of their terraces in the Melbourne apartment block. A trick they picked up on quickly was to create a seamless flow and a subtle point of difference.

The pace and demands of The Block never cease to amaze. In the first two weeks of the Blocktagon, ten people have produced five main bathrooms, five ensuites and five guest bedrooms.

That's a pretty amazing achievement even with an army of trades behind you.

The Block Triple Threat has come to an end. What a ride!

This is the third season of The Block that Beaumont Tiles has been involved with and every time we're completely blown away by the mixture of creativity and graft that goes in to producing amazing homes.

That relates to the teams of course but also the trades who support them. It's phenomenal.

The Triple Threat stats are pretty immense just in terms of tiles. Over the course of Triple Threat there were thousands of tiles laid across the bathrooms and ensuites, laundry, cellar and powder rooms, kitchens and terrace areas.

Although they didn't take out the top score in bathroom week on The Block Triple Threat, we really have to admire Jess and Ayden for pursuing their vision for a bathroom covered wall-to-wall in feature tiles.

The finished room showcases the subtle patterns and shifts in colour and grain between the individual hexagons on a scale we've never seen before. We estimate there could be more than 27,000 individual hexagons in Jess and Ayden's room! We're very excited to be supporting The Block again and pumped to see the newbie teams tackle a very testing bathroom challenge this week - re-designing and re-building a bathroom in 72 hours is no mean feat.

The Triple Threat bathrooms were pretty dilapidated but that can actually be a bonus as it's essentially a blank canvas, which presents an opportunity to create something that really works for you.

Chris and Jenna are fighting hard to win ensuite week on The Block Glasshouse and considering their bathroom won perfect scores from all three judges, they could just do it.

We’ve already seen some stunning and creative designs from The Block Glasshouse contestants this series, with many contestants choosing to wow the judges with feature walls, floors and accessories.
